Steep angle Selmer USA/Bundy contra alto clarinet neck
Want a more comfortable neck for your Bundy contra alto clarinet? The JDwoodwinds contra alto clarinet neck features a steeper more “clarinet like” mouthpiece angle making it more comfortable to play and allowing for cleaner articulation. Two angles are available, 25° and 40°. 25° is my personal favorite and is comfortable for most players. These necks feature a synthetic bow and come standard with a solid brass tenon. The tenons on these necks are designed to fit the Selmer USA/Bundy contra alto clarinet only, it is possible to make one for a Selmer Paris instrument however you will need to mail your neck to our shop for fitment as Selmer Paris changed the sizing of their necks at one point. Available with an optional spit valve. An M6x8mm threaded insert compatible with the PiezoBarrel pickup is also available (A plug will be included so you can use the neck with no pickup).
Note: due to wear and variation between instruments it may be necessary to have a tech fit the tuning slide of this neck to your instrument. A tech experienced with sax or flute repair should be able to help with this.
