EEb contra alto clarinet mouthpiece (Bundy & Selmer fit)
Note: this mouthpiece only works on Selmer or Bundy instruments
Finding a good professional contra alto clarinet mouthpiece can be a challenge. After months of prototyping I’ve come up with a design that exceeds the playing characteristics of my favorite contra alto mouthpieces. This mouthpiece features a medium tip opening combined with a long facing which provides great response across the range of the instrument while maintaining a nice bass clarinet like tone. This mouthpiece is designed to work well with both baritone saxophone and contrabass clarinet reeds and uses a standard contra alto or contrabass clarinet ligature. My personal setup is a Vandoren #3 bari sax reed paired with a Rovner Dark ligature.
All of my mouthpieces are made from an FDA approved material and can easily be washed with soap and warm water to remove germs.
As with any woodwind mouthpiece, it is recommended to clean your mouthpiece (and reed) after each play session to help your equipment last as long as possible and prevent the build up of germs.
