Bass clarinet neck (Selmer Privilege "steep angle" fit)
This accessory is akin to an upgraded barrel for a Bb clarinet. It is designed to make your bass clarinet more responsive and improve projection, articulation and transitions between registers. Unlike my other necks, this neck is made from a copper composite material with a solid copper tenon. This was done in order to compliment the unique playing qualities of the Privilege and provide a more lively sound. This neck is specifically designed to fit the “steep angle” neck Selmer offers with the Privilege (the one that looks sort of like a German bass clarinet neck).
Available with the standard (steep) angle or a slightly flatter angle. An M6x8mm threaded insert compatible with the PiezoBarrel pickup is also available (shown) (A plug will be included so you can use the neck with no pickup). You can also order your neck with a 10mm hole for the Rumberger K1X insert, however the insert is not included and you will need to glue it in yourself with 2 part epoxy.
