Steep angle bass clarinet neck (Royal Max, Polaris and Firebird fit)

from $250.00

The result of much research and testing, this neck is designed to improve the response and ergonomics of your Royal bass clarinet! This neck places the mouthpiece at an angle 10° steeper than the stock neck, making it much more comfortable for players that primarily play seated or with a standing peg. The neck is made from a composite of wood and polymer with a woven carbon fiber tenon for extra strength and durability. The bore has been carefully designed to improve response while maintaining a full and rich tone. Personally I find the response to be a significant improvement over the stock neck on my Max bass clarinet, comparable to using a Firebird neck. The best result, however, is achieved when using this neck in combination with a Firebird neck. So even if you already have an upgraded Firebird bass clarinet neck it is still a big improvement, especially if you prefer a steeper mouthpiece angle.

A threaded insert compatible with the PiezoBarrel pickup is also available.
