Selmer Paris Professional C key clarinet, fully overhauled and ready to play!
For sale we have a lovely vintage Selmer Paris clarinet in the key of C. This clarinet has just been fully overhauled by Howard Woodwind Company and is in excellent playing condition. This clarinet is an early model, made before 1931 when the serial number list starts. Despite this it is in great condition with only minor signs of use. It also has a small 14.6mm bore like many modern clarinets, meaning it tunes well with modern mouthpieces. It features Valentino pads throughout, meaning this clarinet will have a fantastic airtight seal for years to come. The keys are made from solid nickel silver polished to a beautiful mirror like finish, and unlike plated keys they will never experience plating wear. This clarinet has excellent response and speaks clearly through the range. Intonation is also quite good with my Fobes 10K, especially for a C clarinet. The body joints and barrel are completely crack free. The original barrel did unfortunately have a crack that has since been repaired, so included with this instrument is another custom barrel of the same length which I actually find to play a bit better than the stock barrel. Also included is a new ProTec Micro Zip case with custom tenon/socket caps to hold the instrument securely.
