For sale we have a Noblet Paris clarinet in the key of A in excellent condition. While Noblet was Leblanc’s intermediate line, this clarinet punches well above its weight class in terms of quality. Like the pro Leblancs of the time, this clarinet was made in France and features very strong nickel silver key work and a Grenadilla body with wood that looks better that what you can find on many pro clarinets today! Intonation is excellent across the range with my Fobes 10K and the response is nice and even throughout as well. This would be an excellent A clarinet for a pro on a budget or for someone in need of an A clarinet for college.
This clarinet has just been fully overhauled by Howard Woodwind Company and is in perfect playing condition. It features Valentino Master Series pads in the upper joint and leather pads in the lower joint. Compared to the stock skin pads, these pads will be far more durable meaning you’ll spend less time at the repair shop and more time enjoying your clarinet! It also features synthetic felt for many of the key corks which is both more durable and quieter than traditional cork.
This clarinet is in excellent cosmetic condition and shows very few signs of use. There are no cracks or chips anywhere on the instrument repaired or otherwise. The nickel plating appears free of wear and the instrument only shows a few very minor dings and scratches, a good sign that this instrument has not been used heavily and was well cared for. This clarinet also comes with an original Noblet Paris mouthpiece on a desirable Riffault 2V blank, an original cap, a Bonade ligature, original Leblanc reed case and the original case all in good condition. The original bell this instrument came with is Resotone, however included in this sale is the bell from a pro Leblanc clarinet which I find improves the clarion B and C. The logo of this bell was removed and the finish was touched up to make it match the rest of the instrument.
