1967 Selmer Professional Bass Clarinet

Up for sale we have a lovely 1967 Selmer model 30 professional wooden bass clarinet. This bass clarinet has just been serviced and is in great playing condition. These Selmers are some of my favorite vintage bass clarinets, in general they tend to have fairly good intonation and great response. This instrument is no exception and plays well throughout the entire range. The instrument has just been thoroughly cleaned, oiled and mechanically regulated to ensure even response throughout. The neck and bell also just came back from refinishing at Anderson and look beautiful. This instrument does show wear from use including dents, dings and scratches throughout as well as plating wear in some spots. Fortunately there is no damage that affects playability in any significant way. Like on many vintage bass clarinets, there was a small hairline crack in the middle socket that was previously repaired. The repair has held up great, to the point where the previous owner wasn’t even aware there was a crack there! Other than that there is some denting in the neck and bell but nothing that affects playability in a significant way. Seeing as this is not a mint example I have priced this instrument significantly under what others have sold for recently, so if you’ve been looking for a cheap player’s horn then this is a great opportunity. Comes with a floor peg and a newer Selmer case in good shape.
