Up for sale we have a vintage Buffet professional “Pre-R13” C clarinet. These vintage Buffets are some of my favorite C clarinets. Not only is the tone and response excellent but the intonation is also quite good with my personal Fobes 10K mouthpiece (not included). This clarinet features a 14.65mm bore with undercut tone holes. This clarinet is in excellent condition for its age and has just been serviced to ensure it plays well from top to bottom. As part of this service both joints were stripped and cleaned and the bore was oiled with natural almond oil. The previous owner had this clarinet overhauled with beveled cork pads on the upper joint which are still in good condition and seal well. All non-cork pads have just been replaced with high quality leather pads. All tenon corks have also been replaced and key corks were replaced as needed. Keys have been tightened as needed to ensure reliable pad placement and fresh Syntek key oil has been applied as well. Finally keys and pad heights have been adjusted to ensure even response and a full tone throughout the range of the instrument. Cosmetically the instrument is in great condition with only some minor dings and scratches. There are no cracks as well. Comes with the original case and an extra tuning barrel approximately 1.5mm longer than the stock barrel.
